![]() Instant Colors are the most different from all the others as they use opaque pigments, you can create some nice effects with them but I’ll only use them rarely. Xpress Colors’ slightly lower pigmentation limits their use a little bit, but they have some really nice colours and work well in combination with preshading, for example Slapchop or a zenithal basecoat. ![]() I wasn’t a fan of the original Speedpaints’ reactivation, but now that the 2.0 formula made the paints more stable, I found I use them more often, as the range offers a lot of choice. There are some glaring differences where Game color and Citadel pot have nothing in common but are mentioned as equivalent - like Pale Grey wash and Athonian Camoshade. Question remains, which is my favourite range of all? I’d say I still prefer Contrast, as they are the most richly pigmented paints, and have a good selection of colours. Many times you can just make your own triad from paints you have and will end up with similar result as if you follow conversion table like this.
